They didn't start trying till six years later, most failed. They tried treatments but nothing worked, they tried for four years. It wasn't uncommon on the mother's side for these types of problems. Both of her sisters were also unable to have children. They were about to give up when his mother suspected that she was pregnant. Without even telling her husband she was tested and it was confirmed. The news went over excitedly though her entire family. She had a pretty normal pregnancy. They decided to wait to find out the gender till the birth. They wanted it to be a surprise since it was there first born and doubted they would have a second. Two months before the due date she went in for an ultrasound. Unable to find a heartbeat the doctor told them that their son was dead and would induce labor later that night. The doctor was about to call time of death when little baby Cameron cried out. Both his parents cried out in joy to the sound and kissed each other. The entire medical team was in shock, he wasn't dead but he was two months early because of their mistake. He spent most of his early years in and out of the hospital. His father blamed the doctors for Cameron's poor health, his mother was just glad he was alive. Still there were some nights the doctors felt he would not make it to see the sunrise. The stress of all this was too much for his father who left the day before Cameron's fourth birthday. He just couldn't stand wondering if his son would die today or tomorrow. Good thing his mother was strong or they would have fell apart without his father. His grandmother paid to have him privately tutored at his home. His family felt he was too fragile to go to a public or even private school. It wasn't till he was seven did his health start to improve and his mother allowed him to enroll in school. Although he did miss more days then other students. He didn't have many friends but of the ones he did have never ever went to his house. They thought his mom was creepy because she was so clingy with him. But he tried to live his life as normally as possible. He got his ability when he first started high school. The head cheerleader had come up to take to him during the first month of school. As she talked he noticed that everyone was staring at them, like it was two pigs flying. The shy guy talking with the quarterback's girlfriend. He was starting to feel sick then right in the middle of her sentence he got up and ran to the bathroom. He could hear some people laugh at him. Standing in the empty bathroom he looked into the mirror. What was wrong with him? He doubled over in pain and fell to the floor. The changed happened fast but only lasted a few minutes. If the bathroom didn't have a floor length mirror he would've never knew what happened to him. He was a dog a minute ago and now he wasn't. A human him crawled into one of the bathroom stalls. It must have been a hallucination, it just had to be. It happened several times a month then he knew it wasn't a hallucination. Now he knew he was a freak and so he crawled into his own internal shell. Within two weeks it was like he barely existed at school. It wasn't long till he asked to be privately tutored again and his mother let him. She wasn't about to ask, she had noticed him change over time and just assumed that he just had problems at school. They got a visit from a strange man, it was a little late because no one in his family had shown an ability or even taken to the craft since the 17th century. Explained what he was and his mother, who believed it more then Cameron did, agreed to enroll him into the school. Although he was a bit older then usually they understood that he needs help with learning to control his ability. He started going to the Magic School in the middle of his sophomore year.
